The 2022 General Assembly of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) took place in Zurich on 24 June 2022. The key element of this General Assembly was to bid farewell to the previous President Robert Holliger and elect the new Presidents, Jarek Maciążek and Dirk Hoferer.

Annual production of new EPAL Euro pallets exceeded 100 million for the first time in 2021
Düsseldorf, 3 May 2022 – The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) maintained the continuous growth of the EPAL Euro pallet pool in 2021. More than 100 million new EPAL Euro pallets were produced for the first time in a calendar year in 2021.

Snap the Pallet main prize
The announcement of the main prize winner brings the Snap the Pallet photo contest to an end. The international jury, consisting of members and guests of the EPAL Board meeting held 10 March 2022 and EPAL International staff, chose a photo from Turkey.

Strengthening sustainability and the circular economy: EPAL allows Class C Euro pallets to be repaired with reclaimed boards and blocks
The Board of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) decided on 10/03/2022 to allow Class C EPAL Euro pallets to be repaired with reclaimed boards and blocks. This encourages the reuse of components made of wood as part of the circular economy and thus serves to protect the climate and wood resources.
