Vice-Presidents of EPAL reelected
Tatyana Sargsyan, Jean-Philippe Gaussorgues und Davide Dellavalle have been Vice-Presidents of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) since 2022 and, together with Presidents Dirk Hoferer and Jarek Maciążek, form the EPAL Presidium. The EPAL Board has now confirmed the Vice-Presidents in office for another three years, following the re-election of the Presidents in June 2025.
Tatyana Sargsyan (EPAL Baltic States), Jean-Philippe Gaussorgues (EPAL France) and Davide Dellavalle (EPAL Italia) continue to serve on the EPAL Presidium, supporting the EPAL's daily work with their know-how and experience. The composition of EPAL's Board and Presidium with representatives from all regions of Europe is an important basis for EPAL's international success.
Tatyana Sargsyan, Vice-President of EPAL:
“I am pleased to be able to continue the successful work of the Presidium together with Davide Dellavalle and Jean-Philippe Gaussorgues in the coming years. In view of the increasing internationality of supply chains and logistics processes, it is important that EPAL continues to develop uniform international standards for users of EPAL pallets from industry and trade in the future, taking into account the situation in all EPAL countries. I look forward to contributing to this in the coming years.”
The new term of office of the Presidium will see many important regulatory issues that are of great significance for users of EPAL pallets and for the EPAL pallet pool. The start of the application of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), as well as the drafts of the EU Circular Economy Act and the EU Bioeconomy Strategy, which are expected shortly, will shape the economy and logistics and thus also the transport of goods on EPAL pallets in the coming years.
Jean-Philippe Gaussorgues, Vice-President of EPAL:
“The re-election is a great vote of confidence, but at the same time it is also associated with the responsibility of finding the right solutions for the EPAL pallet pool in economically challenging times. The many European legislative initiatives show that internationally uniform solutions are crucial in this regard. This is in line with the structure of EPAL and the work of the EPAL Board and Presidium. I am pleased to continue to be part of the EPAL Presidium, which deals with all these important issues.”
In connection with the PPWR, EPAL receives many requests for cooperation with other associations and organisations as well as from national and international authorities. Together with the Presidents, the Vice-Presidents represent the interests of the users of EPAL pallets as well as the more than 1700 EPAL producers and EPAL repair companies.
Davide Dellavalle, Vice-President of EPAL:
"EPAL's presence in all important national and international committees and cooperation with other associations and stakeholders is enormously important in preparing the EPAL pallet pool for the future together with our partners. To do this, EPAL needs a large and agile team with representatives from all EPAL countries. I will be happy to continue to play a part in this and thank the EPAL Board for their trust in my work."
