Stan Bowes, former President of EPAL dies

It is with deep regret that the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) announces the death of Stan Bowes, the former President of EPAL. Stan Bowes had been on the EPAL Board since 1997 and was elected President in 2007. He presided over the EPAL Board until 2010. Stan Bowes worked in an honorary capacity for many organisations and associations and was an early advocate of a sustainable timber industry. At a national level he was vice-president and director of the English Timber Packaging and Pallet Confederation, TIMCON. We greatly valued his tireless efforts to standardise and quality assure EPAL pallets and his professionalism when representing EPAL as an international association.

Stan Bowes has died at the age of 75.

Our condolences go to his wife and all his family.
